- Basketball (Grades 6+)
- Cheerleading (Grades 6+)
- Practices held after school, 3 days per week
- Games 2–3 times per week at 5pm (on-site with some exceptions)
- Compete in Charter School League
- Transportation provided to off-site games; parents provide pickup
Positive School Culture Program
We implement an award-winning behavior system that celebrates students for making positive choices. Students earn points redeemable at the monthly school store for prizes like candy, school swag, and toys. Teachers also award one pink ticket per day; pink ticket recipients receive a certificate, are recognized in morning announcements, and are entered into a monthly raffle for a free pizza lunch.
Dress Code
Our dress code is simple and flexible, helping students stay comfortable and focused:
- Tops: Polo shirt (any color) or school spirit wear
- Bottoms: Solid color and jeans (no rips or tears)
- Shoes/Accessories: Closed toe/heel only
Field Trips & Learning Excursions
Students enjoy a range of experiential learning opportunities that bring lessons to life:
- All Grades: Akron Zoo Safari Rides, Mill Creek Park, Akron Fossils & Science Center, Greater Cleveland Aquarium, Progressive Field, Cleveland Science Center, Progressive Field
- Grades 4–5: Camp Fitch 3-day bunkhouse experience on Lake Erie with horseback riding
