STEAM Academy of Warren is a public charter school serving students in Kindergarten through 8th grade in Warren, Ohio. Ohio grades every school on an annual state report card, and STEAM Academy of Warren is ranked #6 among all 310+ charter schools in the state. It's one of only a handful of Ohio charter schools to earn a 5-Star Overall rating, with 5-Star ratings in Progress, Gap Closing, and Early Literacy. U.S. News & World Report named it a Best Elementary Charter School.

Science, technology, engineering, arts, and math are at the center of every school day — not as enrichment extras, but as the method. Students figure out how a circuit works by building one. They learn to read data because a project required it. Every student, regardless of where they started, gets instruction at the level they are actually at.

That's the school's core philosophy: a rigorous, supportive environment where academic excellence isn't reserved for a certain kind of student. It's built into the daily work, for every kid who walks through the door.

STEAM Academy of Warren is a publicly funded school. There's no tuition, no fees, and no cost to families. The school also provides free breakfast and lunch every day and free transportation to and from school.

Community School

STEAM Academy of Warren is a public, community school. We are our own school district sponsored by the Charter School Specialists, which provides oversight and enforces academic, fiscal, and legal accountability. We are managed by ACCEL Schools, a high performing network of over 50 charter schools located throughout the United States. Community Schools (Charter Schools) offer families an alternative to the local public school. Mission

The mission of STEAM Academy of Warren is to provide a rigorous, technology-rich education that prepares all students to think critically, solve problems, and excel academically. Through a focus on Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics, the school empowers lifelong learners who are creative, confident, and prepared for future college and career pathways, while fostering a supportive and collaborative school community.

Founded in 2014, ACCEL Schools is a K-12 public charter school management organization (CMO) serving students across the United States in brick-and-mortar, virtual, and hybrid school settings. We focus on improving academic outcomes of students regardless of geographic location or socioeconomic factors. The leadership team at ACCEL Schools has a combined 1000+ years of experience as global school management operators with expertise in curriculum research and design, assessment, student support services, and education consulting. Our entire team fundamentally believes that all children deserve a great education and students should be supported as they pursue a wide variety of post-secondary options.
